Hello again! I had a great summer visiting friends and family.

At the beginning of the summer, I got to travel with some of our students to Taipei for an art study tour. It was a great trip. Both kids and teachers learned a lot about art. Then I went to the United States to see my family. We had a family reunion for my parents’ fortieth wedding anniversary. It was a lot of fun to be with everyone in the same house for a week! I also went to visit friends in New York City and Chicago.

Even though I had a good summer, it is great to be back at the Chinese YMCA Primary School for another term. I had a great experience teaching Space Town in P1 last year, and I am very excited to teach Space Town in P2 this year. I think it is a wonderful program and helps students a lot. Also, I am furthering my education by studying at Hong Kong University.

I come from the south east of England and I attended schools in both Bedford and Cambridge.

I was very lucky to grow up in these two places as they are both beautiful and historic places in England.I lived, studied and worked in London for five years before I moved to Hong Kong.

I have lived in Hong Kong for the last three years and in that time I have worked as a teacher in several primary schools and kindergartens. I love teaching and I gained a Cambridge CELTA teaching certificate in 2014. I am also enrolled in a part-time Master of Arts in English Language Teaching at HK Poly U.

In my spare time I am a member of a couple of football teams in Hong Kong and I love playing squash. I also love learning about this interesting city, so I regularly visit different museums and attend cultural events. I think that living in Hong Kong is a fascinating experience and that working at the Chinese YMCA Primary School is very exciting.
